TX SB2024: A Dire Threat to the Vape, CBD, and THC Industry in Texas

The Texas Senate Bill 2024 (TX SB2024) is not just another piece of legislation—it is a direct and devastating assault on the future of the vape, CBD, and THC industry across the state.

If passed, TX SB2024 would drastically expand prohibitions around the sale, marketing, and even the shape or branding of products associated with vaping and cannabinoids. The bill proposes a sweeping ban on any e-cigarette or vaporizer products that:

  • Are manufactured in China (effectively nearly all devices currently on the market),
  • Contain or are mixed with cannabinoids (including CBD and THC), alcohol, kratom, kava, mushrooms, or derivatives,
  • Feature packaging or designs that resemble candy, food, toys, or even include celebrity imagery,
  • Imitate popular consumer product designs such as phones, pens, cosmetics, or backpacks.

This isn’t just about protecting minors—this is about erasing an entire industry. Under this law, nearly every current vape or CBD product would be illegal to sell or advertise in Texas. Small businesses would be crushed. Thousands of jobs lost. Consumer access to alternative wellness products would be wiped out. Innovation halted. Lives uprooted.

Make no mistake: if you are a business owner, employee, manufacturer, supplier, or consumer in this industry, this bill threatens your livelihood and your rights.

🛑 We cannot afford to be silent.

This bill is scheduled to take effect on September 1, 2025, and it is being reviewed now. If we don’t speak up, TX SB2024 could pass into law—unchallenged.
