comparison between rba vs rda vs rta

What is an RBA (ReBuildable Atomizers)?

“RBA” stands for ReBuildable Atomizers. This is an important category of vaping atomizer systems.

With these rebuildables, you can build your own coil. In other words, you wrap a coil and attach it to the system and add a wick. There are different kinds of builds, each one depends on the RBA type and the desired vape the user wants to achieve.

Let’s discuss the basic information first. A ReBuildable Atomizer is a type of atomizer that connects to the other parts of an electronic cigarette. The difference between an RBA and a regular atomizer is that the customer is responsible for selecting the coil elements and then building it. Once you’ve built an RBA, it operates to heat the e liquid to the point of vaporization.

If built correctly, eventually gives the customer a great vape cloud and satisfying throat hit.

What is an RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer)?

An RDA is known as a Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer. It contains a deck that allows the coil to be mounted on top of it. The deck also provides the electrical connection to the battery. The battery then heats the coil. The cover on the deck allows the threading to be screwed on. There is no section to hold the e-liquid in RDAs.

Their design allows them to drip the e-liquid from the bottle on to the wick and coils. In a few vaping device designs, the coils accumulate the liquid that is dripped on to them. But the maximum amount of juice that they can hold is 1 ml. It is one of the most sought-after mechanisms for vaping as it provides better flavors and stronger fumes than any other vaporizer.

The deck is covered with a cap that screws on with slides with o-rings. RDAs have no tank sections to hold the e liquid. They’re designed for e liquid to be dripped from a bottle, drop by drop, directly into the coil or wicks.

What is an RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer)?

RTA, known as a Rebuildable Tank Atomizer has closed metal chamber mounted upon the meta cap, which then seals the tank. The chamber allows the e-liquid to be dripped on to the coils through the tank reservoir that is inbuilt.

The mechanism is built using the concept of gravity. The e-liquid travels through the chambers and up the slots in the chamber cap to the wick that is placed. The e-liquid then gets to the coils.  In contrast to the RTA, RDA requires manual dripping, as for RTA the dripping occurs automatically.

The chamber cap is connected to the chimney that directs vapor to the drip tip. Gravity and pressure automatically force the e liquid in the tank down around the chamber cap and then up through channels on the outer circumference of the deck.

RBA (ReBuildable Atomizers)

  1. Overall more vapor productionRBAs are well-known in the vaping community for providing vapor clouds and generally more reliable when compared to many of the e cigarette products.

  2. Huge vape cloudsUsing an RBA, the vape clouds can be massive and seriously huge. If your RBA is designed properly and all the parts are performing well, the vape cloud will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

  3. Many Flavor optionsthere are hundreds of flavors of e liquid that are available in the market. With an RBA, the flavor is very noticeable and much better than other e cigarettes.

  4. RBAs are very versatilethey offer many choices and combinations. In addition to choosing which type of RBA to use, you can also select the parts and configurations within it.

  5. Better quality materials and structureThe best part is that RBAs are much longer lasting and durable than your e cigarette because manufacturers have used better material.

  1. Upfront costThere is some cost associated with RBAs. This can turn-off for some people because they are not familiar with the building process.

  2. Ongoing costsThere are a few parts that needs to be replaced by the user manually such as Seals, coils and wicks etc.

  3. Recoiling can be a pain Recoiling can be a tedious work. When you are recoiling, you have to make sure to not wrap it too loosely or too tightly around the wick as you can reduce the juice flow.

RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer)

  1. Very easy to use and their flavors are consistent.

  2. They produce high flavors, and the vapors are also excellent. People using RDA have claimed that the flavors are much more enhanced than any other atomizer.

  3. It allows customization of coils, that help in enhancing the flavors for the vapers.

  1. Have to carry the e-liquid around as well.

  2. Only limited amount of juice is stored, and you have to drip the liquid on a constant basis.

  3. There are chances that there might be leakages if the tank is not filled correctly or is overflowed.

RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer)

  1. Does not require you to drip the liquid to enjoy vaping.

  2. It has a tank to store the liquid hence can be taken conveniently just about anywhere without the need to carry a separate liquid container.

  3. It carries more liquid than a simple RDA, and hence vapers can enjoy uninterrupted vaping.

  4. There is no need to refill the liquid as frequently as you would need to drip in case of RTA vaporizer.

  1. It has limited build design. The coils cannot be customized.

  2. Have issues with high power batteries.

  3. There are possible chances of leakages if the tanks have not been fixed properly. It is highly advisable that the tanks should be checked for any improper placement.

  4. The flavor's fullness might be lost when using RTA vaporizer
